Sam Thomas is a composer, producer and multi-instrumentalist (guitars, drums, keyboards) whose work moves between intimate detail and cinematic scale. Rooted in a deep love of instrumental narrative, his music spans original solo albums, collaborations, and commissioned pieces for film, dance and theatre.

His debut album, Blind Theatre (Just Music, 2013), offered an immersive, dynamic landscape - an orchestral narrative shaped by years of experience and quiet craft. After a long period producing for other artists and developing his East London (now Margate) studio (Sound Terrace studio), Sam returned with Mantle, a collaboration with Isamaya Ffrench, released through Iconoclast, alongside the creation of a companion Kontakt instrument, The Sound Love Lost - available for download and compatible with the free Kontakt player.

In the same breath, he completed and released Rane, a solo album featuring vocalists Lim Orion, Ösp Eldjárn, and Sian O’Gorman (of NYX Electronic Drone Choir), expanding his sonic universe with voices woven into his compositions.

Sam’s newest work is Gloria Untold - an alter-ego project, described as an: "Inaugural sentient algorithmic entity, autonomously and ‘artificially’ manifesting online, infiltrating streaming services from 01_04_24."

He continues to explore the boundary between lived experience and imagined worlds, building a body of work as expansive as it is intimate.
